Our storefront is located in the vibrant 4th Street shopping district in Berkeley, CA and our team is growing!We are currently seeking a professional, upbeat, stylish & creative sales associate to join our team. This position isn’t for everyone, we’re seeking a mutually perfect fit. The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service skills and solid experience in luxury retail. The ideal candidate will be reliable, have a high level of integrity and an excellent work ethic. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to handle the day-to-day responsibilities of working in a retail store and thrive at building strong and lasting customer and trade relationships. This person will be an integral part in the success of our retail presence. RESPONSIBILITIESManage daily sales & customer service activitiesGreet customers and help guide them through the store and determine specific needs while providing excellent customer serviceBuild and maintain a loyal client base, and retain customer loyalty by providing clients with personalized serviceProvide accurate product informationKeep the sales floor merchandised and stockedProcess all point-of-sale transactions such as sales, returns, exchanges and gift cardsIncrease customer base by proactively reaching out to customers when new items arrive, and adding all new contacts/customers to contact listSupport with stock checking and orderingReceive and check-in product deliveriesSafely and professionally pack and fulfill all inbound online orders for shippingUnderstand and know all operational procedures to properly execute daily operationsSecondary responsibility when not selling; tagging, restocking, cleaning, organizing stock room and merchandisingPartner with the team to resolve online and in store customer service issuesAbility to work as part of a team and take initiative, independent of direct supervision QUALIFICATIONS2+ years of retail experience, home decor or boutique environment preferredAt least 1 year in a key holder roleMust be available to work weekends and during the holiday seasonKnowledge of Shopify, Excel and Google DocsDemonstrate outstanding customer serviceBe a self-starter who is results oriented and committed to fostering an exciting store environmentExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenBe a team player, self motivated, and carry a positive can-do attitudePrides oneself on accuracy and attention to detailMust live in the San Francisco Bay area and drive a carAbility to lift and mobilize large items up to 50 lbs. while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniquesSALARY + BENEFITSThis is an hourly, full time position located in Berkeley, CA.
