The Home Healthcare Driver is responsible for the safe, timely transportation of the Home Healthcare (HHC) clinical team, approved equipment, and supplies to and from scheduled home visits, in line with approved HHC operating hours. When not engaged in scheduled HHC activities, the driver supports other hospital transportation needs under Operations/FMS, provided this does not affect or delay HHC services, which remain the top priority whenever HHC visits are scheduled.Key responsibilities of the role:Coordinate the daily transportation schedule based on the approved HHC visit schedule provided by the responsible HHC/operational team.Maintain accurate and up-to-date trip logs, mileage records, and vehicle checklists.Promptly report delays, incidents, or scheduling conflicts to the direct supervisor.Communicate schedule changes or urgent visit requests with the HHC/operational team and confirm them with the direct supervisor.Submit completed trip logs and vehicle checklists to the supervisor within the assigned timeframe.Report vehicle defects and maintenance needs, and document incidents through the organization's incident reporting system.Ensure all records are complete, legible, and handled in line with confidentiality and organizational policies.Transport the HHC clinical team, approved equipment, and supplies safely to and from patients' homes for scheduled visits, adhering to approved HHC operating hours.Operate hospital vehicles in compliance with traffic laws, perform pre-and post-trip vehicle inspections, and report mechanical issues promptly.When no HHC visits are scheduled, support other hospital transportation needs under FMS/Operations (e.g., transporting new staff for Iqama medical examinations, bank account opening, Absher registration, or similar administrative requirements), provided this does not delay or conflict with scheduled HHC visits, which remain the priority.Keep the vehicle clean and disinfected in line with the organization's infection-control policy.Apply hand hygiene, use personal protective equipment (PPE) when required, and follow standard infection-control precautions.Always follow safe driving practices, including defensive driving, use of seat belts, observing speed limits, and no mobile phone use while driving.Ensure that required safety equipment (first-aid kit, fire extinguisher, warning triangle) is available and functional in the vehicle.Follow the planned routes and navigation tools to arrive at patients' homes on time and avoid unauthorized stops or detours during scheduled trips.Respond to emergencies (accident, vehicle breakdown, patient or staff emergency) according to the organization's emergency procedures.Responsible for any violations resulting from misuse of the vehicle and/or equipment and shall not use the vehicle for personal purposes.Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality and always respect patient rights.Perform other applicable tasks and duties within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilitiesQualifications, Certifications and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent.Valid Saudi driving licenseMinimum 1–2 years of experience as a driver, preferably within a healthcare or hospitalFlexibility to support other FMS/Operations transportation duties when not engaged in scheduled HHC visits, provided this does not delay or conflict with scheduled HHC visits.
