Hospital Director - Multi Speciality Acute Hospital£100,000 per annum + benefitsFull-time | PermanentCommutable through parts of South London, Surrey, Kent, SussexAre you a commercially-astute clinically registered healthcare leader looking for your next step into Hospital Director, with the opportunity to shape the growth of a specialist private hospital?Compass Associates is recruiting on behalf of an established private healthcare organisation for a Hospital Director to lead one of its specialist hospitals in the South East.The OpportunityThis is a senior leadership role combining clinical governance, operational leadership and commercial responsibility. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take overall responsibility for the hospital's performance, people, patient experience and future growth.The hospital is an established specialist surgical operation with around 100 employees and a strong reputation across a range of specialist services. The organisation has ambitious plans to increase income, improve theatre utilisation and move the hospital towards financial break-even.A key part of the role will be developing consultant relationships, attracting new consultants, identifying new services and partnerships, and making better use of existing clinical and theatre capacity.You will also act as the CQC Registered Manager, ensuring the highest standards of clinical governance, patient safety and quality are maintained.This is an excellent opportunity for a Hospital Director, Director of Clinical Services, or Head of Clinical Services ready to take the next step into full hospital leadership.The successful candidate will join the senior leadership team and have significant autonomy to influence strategy, commercial performance and the future direction of the hospital.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide overall leadership across clinical, operational, commercial and financial performance.Act as CQC Registered Manager, maintaining strong governance, quality and patient safety.Develop and deliver the hospital's business plan and growth strategy.Drive income growth, financial performance and progress towards break-even.Maximise theatre utilisation and clinical capacity.Develop existing consultant relationships and attract new consultants.Identify new services, partnerships and revenue opportunities.Build strong relationships with NHS and private-sector partners.Lead and develop a multidisciplinary workforce.Ensure an excellent patient experience and high clinical standards.Monitor KPIs, budgets and operational performance.Contribute to wider organisational strategy as a member of the Executive Team.Essential ExperienceCurrent NMC or HCPC registration – essential.Significant senior healthcare leadership experience.Experience within private, independent or acute healthcare.Strong operational and financial management experience.Commercially focused, with a track record of driving growth or service development.Experience working with consultants and senior clinical stakeholders.Understanding of theatres, surgical pathways and capacity utilisation.Strong knowledge of CQC, clinical governance, quality and patient safety.Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and organisational change.Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.Degree-level qualification or equivalent senior leadership experience.The PackageUp to £100,000 base salary30 days annual leave + bank holidaysPrivate healthcare insuranceHealthcare cash planLife assurance8% pension contributionExecutive coaching and development supportSignificant exposure to the Executive Team and wider businessLocation – accessible through parts of South London, Surrey, Kent, SussexInterested?
