Hospital Director

Role Description The Hospital Director is a part-time, hybrid role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. In this role, the director oversees hospital operations, ensuring efficient clinical and administrative workflows, high-quality patient care, and alignment with regulatory and organizational standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating medical and support teams, managing budgets and resource allocation, monitoring performance indicators, and driving improvements in patient experience and service delivery. The director collaborates with leadership, clinicians, and operational staff to optimize processes, implement policies, support training initiatives, and resolve escalated issues. This role also involves strategic planning, stakeholder communication, and partnering with United Ops and hospital leadership to support sustainable operational and financial outcomes.QualificationsClinical and medical expertise, including a background in Medicine and strong understanding of hospital care pathways.Operations Management experience in a healthcare or hospital setting, with skills in process optimization and performance oversight.Budgeting and financial management skills, including cost control, resource planning, and familiarity with hospital financial performance metrics.Customer Service skills focused on patient experience, stakeholder communication, and issue resolution.Training and staff development capabilities, including coaching, mentoring, and support for continuous improvement initiatives.Proven leadership and team management experience in complex, multi-disciplinary environments.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.Relevant advanced degree in medicine, healthcare administration, or a related field; professional certifications in hospital management are beneficial.Familiarity with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards applicable in the United Arab Emirates.
