Location: Garfield Medical CenterDescriptionAbout Astrana Care HospitalistsAstrana Care Hospitalists is looking for Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine and Family Medicine trained physicians to join our hospitalist program.

Our hospitals are located in the San Gabriel Valley, 10 minutes east of downtown Los Angeles, with easy access to the city, as well as other popular destinations such as Long Beach and Santa Monica. We also have hospital coverage in Orange County, with easy access to Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm.Working in close partnership with Astrana Health, Prospect Medical Holdings, and Allied Pacific IPA, our hospitalist team is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered acute care to diverse and underserved populations. We foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and clinical excellence while ensuring seamless transitions of care through coordination with primary care physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary care teams.What You'll DoProvide comprehensive inpatient medical care to hospitalized adult patients across affiliated community hospitals in Los Angeles and Orange CountiesManage an average daily census of 15 to 20 patients, including conducting admissions, daily rounds, treatment planning, discharge coordination, and ongoing medical managementEvaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions while ensuring evidence-based, patient-centered careCollaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including nursing staff, case managers, pharmacists, therapists, and consulting specialists to optimize patient outcomes and ensure continuity of careCoordinate care with a robust network of specialty services, including cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, neurology, neuro-interventional radiology, and other subspecialties as neededMonitor patient progress, review laboratory and diagnostic test results, adjust treatment plans, and communicate clinical updates with patients and their familiesFacilitate timely and efficient transitions of care, including discharge planning, post-acute care coordination, and communication with primary care providers and outpatient specialistsQualificationsBoard Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal MedicineMedical degree from accredited medical schoolCurrent California State Medical LicenseCurrent DEA CertificatePreferences:Cantonese, Mandarin, and/or Spanish speaking are preferred, but not requiredEnvironmental Job Requirements and Working ConditionsPractice LocationsOur LA County division covers the following hospitals: Garfield Medical Center, Alhambra Hospital, and San Gabriel Valley Medical Center, Monterey Park Hospital, Greater El Monte Community Hospital, USC ArcadiaOur Orange County division currently covers Foothill Regional Medical Center in Tustin, as well as Anaheim Regional Medical Center in AnaheimWhy Join Astrana Care Hospitalists?Competitive compensation ranging from $280,000 to $550,000 annually, based on experience, productivity, and contributions to the programDedicated intensivist coverage with no ICU management, code leadership, or procedural requirementsStrong multispecialty support across a diverse and growing hospital networkPredictable 7-on/7-off schedule offering exceptional work-life balanceComprehensive malpractice coverage providedOpportunities to practice in culturally diverse communities throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties
