Role Description The Hospitality / Business Lecturer will deliver undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in hospitality management, business, and related disciplines, using both theoretical and practical teaching methods. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and updating syllabi, developing lesson plans and teaching materials, conducting lectures, seminars, and workshops, and assessing student performance through assignments, projects, and exams. The lecturer will mentor and advise students on academic and career development, participate in curriculum enhancement, and contribute to program quality assurance activities. Additional tasks may include engaging with industry partners, supporting internships and practical training, and taking part in departmental meetings and academic events. This is a full-time hybrid role based in St. Petersburg City, Russia, with a mix of on-campus teaching and some work-from-home activities such as online classes, grading, and course preparation.QualificationsStrong knowledge of hospitality management, hotel and restaurant operations, and business fundamentals relevant to the service industry.Demonstrated teaching, training, or facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups of learners in both classroom and online settings.Excellent communication, presentation, and academic writing skills in English; Russian language skills are an advantage.Curriculum development and course design experience, including creation of syllabi, learning materials, and assessments aligned with learning outcomes.Competence with digital learning tools and online education platforms for hybrid and blended delivery.Relevant academic qualifications, ideally a Master’s degree or higher in Hospitality Management, Business, Tourism, or a closely related field.Professional experience in the hospitality or service industry, with practical insight into hotel, restaurant, or tourism operations.Ability to work collaboratively within an international academic environment and to support continuous improvement of programs and student experience.
