A dedicated team of professionals works collaboratively to maintain an inclusive, supportive, and outcome-focused learning environment for all students.Role Description The Hospitality Lecturer will deliver engaging, structured lessons in hospitality and related subjects to learners at various levels, ensuring curriculum requirements and quality standards are met. Day-to-day activities include planning and preparing teaching materials, delivering lectures, demonstrations, and practical sessions, assessing learner work, and providing constructive feedback to support progress. The role also involves monitoring attendance and achievement, maintaining accurate records, participating in course development, and contributing to continuous improvement in teaching and learning. The Hospitality Lecturer will collaborate with colleagues to support learner welfare and employability pathways and engage with industry trends to keep course content relevant. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nottingham.Qualifications Strong subject knowledge in hospitality, including operations, customer service, food and beverage, and industry standards.Experience in lesson planning, curriculum delivery, assessment design, and classroom management within a further or higher education setting.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support and motivate diverse groups of learners.Relevant academic or professional qualification in Hospitality, Catering, Tourism, or a closely related field (minimum Level 3; degree or equivalent preferred).Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, Level 3 or 4 Award in Education and Training).Proficiency in basic IT and online learning tools for preparing resources, tracking learner progress, and supporting blended learning.Demonstrated commitment to inclusive education, safeguarding, and promoting equality, diversity, and learner well-being.Industry experience in the hospitality sector and familiarity with employer expectations and vocational standards is highly beneficial.
