Every project reflects a commitment to improving the lives of the families and communities Truman serves.Role Description The Host/Hostess is a full-time, on-site role based in Calgary, AB, responsible for providing a welcoming and professional first impression to guests and visitors. Day-to-day tasks include greeting and seating guests, managing reservations and waitlists, answering phone inquiries, and coordinating with serving staff to ensure efficient table turnover. The role involves maintaining a clean and organized reception area, providing accurate information about services and offerings, and addressing guest questions or concerns promptly. The Host/Hostess will also support basic administrative tasks related to front-of-house operations and contribute to a positive, customer-focused environment.Qualifications Strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to provide a welcoming and professional experience for all guests.Effective Communication and Phone Etiquette skills for handling inquiries, coordinating seating, and relaying information to team members.Experience with Reservations systems and basic scheduling to manage guest flow and waitlists efficiently.Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and time management.Previous front-of-house, hospitality, or retail experience is an asset.Availability to work full-time, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.Professional appearance and demeanor, with a commitment to Truman’s Live better® values and positive guest experiences.
