You will welcome every guest, manage reservations and seating, and set the tone for an exceptional experience from the moment people walk in. • Welcome guests warmly and manage reservations, wait times and seating to keep the dining room flowing
• Answer phone and online inquiries, and coordinate takeout orders, with poise
• Recognize regulars, VIPs and special occasions, and share guest notes with the service team
• Keep the entrance and host area immaculate, and assist servers at peak times
• Respond to guest concerns promptly and involve management when needed
• Follow health and safety standards and assist with opening and closing dutiesWhat You Bring
• Experience in a host, reception or guest-facing role; restaurant experience is an asset
• A warm, professional manner and strong organizational skills
• Ability to stay calm and courteous under pressure
• Comfort with reservation systems such as OpenTable is an asset
