Hotel BUTLERLocation: Franschhoek, Western CapeIndustry: Luxury HospitalityA prestigious luxury hospitality property in Franschhoek is looking for an experienced Butler to deliver highly personalised, discreet and exceptional guest service. This role is suited to someone with strong luxury hospitality experience, excellent food and wine knowledge, and a genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences.Key ResponsibilitiesWelcome and greet guests with warmth, discretion and appropriate forms of address.Assist with guest check-in and check-out, including valet services where required.Introduce guests to their rooms or suites, explaining facilities and services in detail.Assist guests with itinerary planning, restaurant reservations and activities.Provide personalised and attentive service, responding to guest requests with urgency and professionalism.Maintain accurate records of guest preferences, including dietary requirements, allergies, likes and dislikes, while respecting guest privacy.Communicate guest requests accurately and promptly with relevant departments and follow up to ensure completion.Assist with guest transfers, excursions and private guiding both on and off the property where required.Assist with daily housekeeping, room preparation and turndown services before, during and after guest stays.Deliver personalised food and beverage experiences, including in-room breakfast preparation and service in conjunction with the Chef where required.Maintain excellent knowledge of food, wine, spirits and the property's F&B offerings.Support other departments to ensure seamless and efficient service delivery.Identify opportunities to improve guest service and maintain high-quality service standards.Process guest charges accurately using restaurant POS systems and hotel systems.RequirementsMatric / Grade 12.Previous experience as a Butler, Concierge or in a luxury hotel environment is essential.Strong knowledge of luxury food and beverage service standards.Excellent food and wine knowledge.Experience with restaurant POS systems; knowledge of hotel systems such as Protel would be advantageous.Good knowledge of Franschhoek and surrounding areas.Comfortable working with in-room technology and various guest service platforms.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Strong attention to detail and a professional, discreet approach.Calm and courteous under pressure, with a genuine guest-first attitude.Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays and assist across departments when required.A Food and/or Wine qualification or certificate would be advantageous.Candidates based in Franschhoek or surrounding areas will be preferred.If you have experience in a luxury hospitality environment and take pride in delivering highly personalised guest service, we would love to hear from you.
