SHD maintains a strong commitment to creating an atmosphere that promotes wellness, healing, and trust within the community.Role Description The House Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role located in Chester, CA, responsible for overseeing clinical operations and staffing across the hospital during assigned shifts. This role coordinates patient flow, ensures appropriate nurse and provider assignments, and supports adherence to clinical standards and regulatory requirements. The House Supervisor provides guidance to nursing staff, assists with complex patient care decisions, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to maintain safe and efficient care delivery. Daily responsibilities include supervising nursing units, resolving operational issues, monitoring quality and safety indicators, and serving as a key resource for staff, patients, and families. The role also involves participation in performance improvement initiatives, staff coaching, and effective communication with leadership to support organizational goals.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills, including team leadership, staff coordination, and performance support.Candidates should possess Nursing and Medicine knowledge to provide safe, evidence-based patient care and clinical guidance.Candidates should possess Nursing Management experience, including unit oversight, staffing, and workflow optimization.Candidates should possess Critical Care Medicine or acute care experience to manage complex and high-acuity patient situations.Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state, with current BLS and ACLS certifications.Previous experience as a charge nurse, house supervisor, or nursing leader in a hospital or similar setting.Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.Ability to work on-site in Chester, CA, with flexibility for varied shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
