Housekeeping plays a central role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the inn.Role Description The Housekeeper role at Seven Gables Inn is a full-time, on-site position based in St Louis, MO. Daily responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, making beds, changing linens, and replenishing amenities. The role also involves handling laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and towels. Housekeepers are expected to maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, report maintenance issues, and follow safety and hygiene protocols. This position includes interacting with guests in a professional, courteous manner and supporting team members to ensure a consistent, high-quality guest experience.Qualifications Ability to perform housekeeping and laundry tasks, including cleaning, sanitizing, and handling linens efficiently.Strong communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with guests and coworkers.Solid organization skills to manage time, prioritize tasks, and maintain orderly storage of supplies.Willingness to participate in training and follow established procedures and standards.Previous housekeeping, hospitality, or related experience preferred but not required.Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift, and to use cleaning products and equipment safely.Reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
