Role SummaryContract: 19 Oct 2026 to 26 Dec 2026We are seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager with a strong hotel operations background to oversee housekeeping operations for a major multi-sport international event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role holds overall responsibility for overseeing the appointed Housekeeping and Laundry Supplier’s operations across all Athletes’ Village (AVL) residential buildings and associated operational spaces, ensuring consistent cleanliness, hygiene, and resident comfort throughout the Games.Acting on behalf of the Village Delivery Partner, the role is a client-side governance and assurance function: the Manager directs, monitors, and holds the Supplier accountable for the delivery of residential housekeeping, deep cleaning, linen and laundry services to the standards, schedules,Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Planning & Mobilisation: Develop and maintain the Housekeeping and Laundry Operating Plan across all AVL phases, ensuring staffing, shifts, service schedules, and deployment align with operational needs and occupancy of up to three residents per bedroom. Ensure 24-hour housekeeping coverage, with bedrooms serviced on a fixed daytime schedule.Supplier Management & Contract Oversight: Manage the Housekeeping and Laundry Supplier to ensure compliance with agreed scopes, service levels, quantities, and standards. Review and approve staffing plans, rosters, and procedures, monitor performance, and implement corrective actions when needed.Staff Supervision & Deployment: Oversee housekeeping and laundry staff deployment across all residential areas, ensuring consistent assignments to build resident trust and maintain service standards. Ensure all staff are trained, accredited, properly uniformed, and familiar with resident-interaction and reporting procedures.Housekeeping Standards & Room Cleaning: Oversee daily cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms, and shared areas, ensuring residents receive the standard bedding and towel kit. Enforce room-servicing protocols, report rooms that cannot be safely cleaned, and provide each Chef de Mission with housekeeping and linen-change schedules.Deep Cleaning & Periodic Programmes: Plan and monitor deep-cleaning schedules across all residential and operational areas, ensuring rooms are thoroughly cleaned and ready to the required standard between delegation departures and arrivals.Laundry, Linen & Towel Operations: Oversee linen and towel collection, washing, and replacement according to the required schedules, and manage free personal laundry services for Athletes and Team Officials using the approved scanning system. Ensure residents can exchange dirty linen and towels for clean items free of charge at Resident Centre front desks.Consumables & Supply Management: Ensure residential consumables, including toilet paper and hand soap, are adequately stocked and storage rooms are maintained. Monitor usage, forecast replenishment needs, and coordinate shared consumable responsibilities with the Cleaning & Waste team.Quality Control, Inspections & Reporting: Conduct regular inspections and maintain daily reports on cleanliness, hygiene, linen changes, laundry, consumables, and outstanding issues. Track and resolve complaints, escalate major concerns, and report service risks, staffing shortages, and Supplier non-compliance with recommended corrective actions.Required SkillsExcellent knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning standards, hygiene, and quality control.Ability to manage inventory, supplies, equipment, and operational budgets.Proficiency in housekeeping management systems and Microsoft Office.Experience RequirementMinimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in housekeeping and laundry operations, preferably in large-scale residential, hotel, accommodation, or major sporting-event environments.Demonstrated experience managing outsourced service providers and large workforces is essential.Location / Work ModeRiyadh, Saudi Arabia — On-siteFlexibility and availability to work extended hours, rotating shifts, weekends, and peak operational periods, as required by the Games schedule.
