Housekeeping Supervisor

SHG operates 112 properties in 26 countries with a commitment to deliver authentic and diverse hospitality experiences that bring people together, all around the world.We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team and ensure consistently high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, presentation, and guest service.As a key member of our BOH and FOH team, you will supervise daily operations, inspect guest rooms and public areas, train team members, manage supplies, and promptly resolve housekeeping-related concerns.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise, motivate, and support housekeeping staff.Inspect guest restrooms, corridors, public areas, back-of-house areas, and facilities to ensure they meet company and sanitation standards.Ensure rooms are cleaned, maintained, and released on schedules.Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching regarding cleaning procedures, guest service, safety, and company policies.Monitor staff attendance, grooming, productivity, and work performance.Report maintenance problems, damaged items, lost property, and safety hazards to the appropriate department.Maintain accurate records of room status, inspections, attendance, supplies, and operational reports.Ensure proper use, storage, and labeling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.Coordinate with Front Office, Maintenance, Security, and other departments to support smooth daily operations.Enforce health, safety, hygiene, and infection-control procedures.Perform housekeeping duties when necessary to support the team during busy periods.Ideal RequirementsMust have a UAE Driver’s license.Willing to travel to 2 different outlets if required or if needed.High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification; hospitality or facilities-management training is an advantage.2-3 years of housekeeping or hospitality experience, with at least one year in a supervisory or team-lead role.Experience in a hotel, resort, serviced residence, restaurants, or large commercial property is preferred.Strong knowledge of cleaning methods, sanitation procedures, linen handling, housekeeping equipment, and HACCP requirements.Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high cleanliness standards.Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Professional appearance and a guest-focused attitude.Basic computer skills, including email, scheduling systems, and housekeeping or property-management software.Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays, early mornings, evenings, and public holidays.Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform housekeeping duties for extended periods and move housekeeping supplies if required.Fluent in English. Additional language e.g. Italian, French, Arabic is an advantage.
