Role Description The Director at ACM GMRIT will provide strategic leadership for the student chapter, overseeing planning, execution, and evaluation of workshops, technical events, and webinars. This full-time, on-site role in Rajahmundry involves coordinating with faculty advisors, industry speakers, and student volunteers to design impactful computing-related programs. The Director will manage event calendars, budgets, and logistical arrangements, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality member experiences. The role includes mentoring student leaders, promoting collaboration across departments, and strengthening partnerships with industry and academic stakeholders. The Director will actively monitor emerging trends in computing education and student engagement, using insights to shape chapter initiatives and enhance its visibility and impact.QualificationsStrong leadership and organizational skills, with experience managing teams, projects, or student organizations.Background or demonstrated interest in computing, computer science, or related technical fields, with familiarity with current industry trends.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, and external partners.Event planning and coordination abilities, including scheduling, budgeting, and managing logistics for workshops, technical events, and webinars.Experience in mentoring or coaching students or early-career professionals, with a focus on professional development and practical learning.Ability to work on-site in Rajahmundry on a full-time basis and manage multiple initiatives in a dynamic academic environment.Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant discipline (such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or Management) preferred.Prior involvement with professional or student chapters (e.g., ACM or similar organizations) is an advantage.
