⚓ We’re Hiring | HR Business Partner – Marine Engineering & Industrial ManufacturingWe are looking for a strong, commercially minded and credible HR Business Partner to support our Marine Engineering and Industrial Manufacturing business.This is a highly technical, engineering-led environment, so we are looking for someone who understands the world of Engineering, Operations, Projects, Manufacturing and Marine and can confidently partner with demanding technical leaders.An Engineering/technical background combined with strong HR experience would be highly advantageous. We will also consider experienced HR professionals from Oil & Gas, Marine Engineering, Industrial Manufacturing, EPC, Fabrication, Energy or other technical environments.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness PartneringPartner with Engineering, Operations, Production, Projects, HSE, Quality, Commercial and other business leaders.Provide practical HR advice aligned with business and operational priorities.Support both professional/technical and operational workforces.Challenge and coach managers on people decisions and performance.HR CoE PartnershipWork closely with HR Centres of Excellence to deliver the corporate HR agenda, including:Performance ManagementTalent Reviews & Succession PlanningTalent Mobility & Internal Career MovementEngagement Surveys & Action PlanningLearning & DevelopmentLeadership DevelopmentDiversity, Inclusion & EquityOrganisation Design & EffectivenessTalent AcquisitionWorkforce & TalentLead manpower planning and budgeting.Translate project and operational requirements into workforce and capability plans.Support recruitment of critical technical and leadership positions.Conduct interviews and competency-based assessments.Identify critical skills, talent gaps and succession risks.Support internal mobility and talent deployment.Governance & Employee RelationsEnsure consistent application of HR policies, processes and governance.Advise managers on UAE employment law and HR practices.Manage complex disciplinary, grievance, investigation and employee relations cases.Ensure appropriate documentation, escalation and resolution.Challenge practices that create unnecessary people or compliance risks.What we are looking for10 –14 years of progressive HR experience, including strong HRBP/generalist experience.Experience in Oil & Gas, Marine, Engineering, Industrial Manufacturing, EPC, Fabrication, Energy or similar technical environments.Engineering/technical background is highly preferred.Strong workforce planning and manpower budgeting experience.Strong employee relations and conflict-resolution capability.Experience with performance, talent, succession and internal mobility.Strong recruitment and interviewing experience.Strong understanding of HR governance and UAE Labour Law.Excellent influencing, coaching and stakeholder-management skills.CIPD, SHRM or equivalent qualification is an advantage.Arabic is an advantage.The personOur ideal candidate may be an Engineer who subsequently built a career in HR, or an HR professional who has spent substantial time partnering with engineering-led businesses.You need to be able to understand the language of: Engineers. Project Managers. Production Managers. Workshop & Shipyard Managers. Commercial Leaders. HSE. Operations. Most importantly, you should be able to speak the language of engineering and HR and operate comfortably from the workshop floor to the leadership table.We are looking for someone with strong personality, presence and resilience - someone who can confidently engage, influence and spar with senior engineering and operational leaders when required. You should be practical, persuasive and solutions-oriented, with the confidence to challenge managers while maintaining strong governance and credibility.
