Our client is a non profit organization seeking an experienced and mission-driven HR Manager to lead all human resources functions for our growing team. This role provides strategic and operational HR support, overseeing talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and culture initiatives. The ideal candidate will be organized, compassionate, and skilled at building and retaining a talented workforce committed to our mission of [mission statement].Key ResponsibilitiesTalent Acquisition & RecruitmentDevelop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates aligned with organizational valuesPost job openings, review applications, conduct initial screening, and coordinate interviewsManage hiring process from job requisition through onboardingBuild relationships with community partners and educational institutions for talent pipeline developmentCreate and maintain job descriptions for all positionsEmployee Relations & OnboardingDesign and deliver comprehensive onboarding program for new employeesServe as primary point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and conflict resolutionMaintain confidential employee records and personnel files in compliance with employment lawSupport performance management and employee development processesFoster positive workplace culture aligned with non-profit mission and valuesPlan and coordinate employee engagement and recognition programsAddress personnel issues and disciplinary matters in accordance with policiesCompliance & PolicyEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FMLA, ADA, Title VII, etc.)Develop, implement, and maintain employee handbook and HR policiesMaintain knowledge of non-profit employment regulations and best practicesSupport audit preparation and compliance documentationCoordinate workers' compensation and unemployment insurance mattersStay current on employment law changes and communicate impacts to leadershipBenefits AdministrationManage employee benefits programs (health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, etc.)Serve as primary contact for benefits vendors and carriersProcess benefits enrollment and changesMaintain benefits documentation and compliance recordsCoordinate benefits communication and education for staffAnalyze benefits costs and recommend improvementsPayroll & CompensationCoordinate with payroll provider or manage payroll administrationEnsure accurate and timely payroll processingMaintain compensation records and salary information confidentiallySupport budgeting and financial planning for human resourcesEvaluate compensation levels and recommend adjustments as neededProfessional Development & TrainingIdentify training and professional development needs across organizationCoordinate staff training, workshops, and learning opportunitiesSupport employee career development and advancement opportunitiesMaintain training records and certificationsStrategic HR InitiativesDevelop and implement HR strategic plans aligned with organizational goalsConduct employee surveys and analyze feedback to inform culture initiativesSupport board compliance and governance matters related to HRAssist with volunteer management coordination (if applicable)Contribute to organizational strategic planning and decision-makingRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field3+ years of HR management or coordinator experienceKnowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulationsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to handle confidential information with discretionProblem-solving skills and ability to work independentlyCompassionate approach to employee relationsCommitment to non-profit mission and valuesPreferred QualificationsExperience in non-profit or mission-driven organizationProfessional HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar)Experience with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) or payroll softwareKnowledge of grant compliance and reporting requirementsExperience managing volunteer programsFamiliarity with Affordable Care Act compliance for non-profitsExperience with employee engagement and culture initiativesUnderstanding of non-profit governance and board relationsBilingual capabilities (English/Spanish)What We OfferCompetitive salary: $65,000 – $78,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)Comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, vision)403(b) retirement plan with organizational matchGenerous paid time off (PTO and holidays)Professional development and conference attendanceFlexible work arrangements (hybrid available)Mission-driven work environment with passionate teamGrowth opportunities within organizationCommitment to employee wellness and work-life balanceSend resumes in Word format to jhalsey@naglergroup.comTNG123
