HSE Engineer – Road & Infrastructure Projects

Position: HSE EngineerProject Type: Road & Infrastructure ProjectsLocation: Sharjah, UAEPosition SummaryWe are looking for an experienced HSE Engineer to join our team for Road & Infrastructure projects in Sharjah. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring HSE compliance across all site activities, with strong exposure to Sharjah City, Etihad Rail, and RTA standards and approval processes.RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mandatory)UAE Engineering Equivalency Certificate is mandatory12–15 years of relevant HSE experienceProven experience on Roads & Infrastructure projects in the UAEFamiliarity with Sharjah City, Etihad Rail, and RTA standards, regulations, and approval processesExperience in Civil Engineering projects involving roads, utilities, and infrastructureStrong knowledge and practical experience with structural works on road and infrastructure projectsWell-versed with RTA requirements for Traffic Diversion Plans, Traffic Management Plans (TMP), and road closures and detoursStrong understanding of UAE HSE legislation, risk assessments, incident investigations, and permit-to-work systemsExcellent communication and coordination skills with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authoritiesPrevious experience with a consultancy is mandatoryKey ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with project HSE requirements and UAE regulationsConduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessmentsMonitor contractor HSE performance and implement corrective actionsEnsure safe execution of road, utility, and demolition activitiesCoordinate with ITC and relevant authorities for traffic management and diversion approvalsPrepare HSE reports, investigations, and project documentationPromote a strong safety culture across the projectAdditional InformationWork Location: Sharjah, UAEAssignment Duration: Minimum 12 months
