HSE Officer

Location: Al Taweelah Near KIZAD, Abu DhabiWorking Days: Monday - SaturdayWorking Hours: 10 Hours per daySalary: AED 7000 (All inclusive, Accomodation is not provided)We are looking for a qualified and experienced HSE Officer to join our project team in Abu Dhabi.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the implementation of health, safety, and environmental standards at the project site and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable UAE regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement and monitor the company’s HSE policies, procedures, and project-specific safety requirements.Conduct regular site inspections, safety observations, and risk assessments.Identify unsafe acts and conditions and recommend appropriate corrective actions.Ensure compliance with approved Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and Permit to Work (PTW) requirements.Conduct daily toolbox talks, safety briefings, and site inductions for employees and workers.Monitor the proper use of PPE and ensure safe working practices are followed.Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe occurrences and assist in preparing reports.Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, training records, and other relevant documentation.Monitor housekeeping, access/egress, work-at-height activities, lifting operations, excavation, hot work, and other high-risk activities.Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, subcontractors, and management regarding HSE matters.Promote a positive safety culture and encourage employees to report hazards and unsafe conditions.Participate in emergency drills and ensure emergency procedures are effectively implemented.Support environmental protection initiatives, including proper waste management and pollution prevention.Ensure corrective and preventive actions are followed up and closed within the required timeframe.Carry out any other HSE-related duties assigned by the HSE Manager.RequirementsBachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.Minimum 3 years of relevant HSE experience in construction, power plant, oil & gas, or industrial projects.UAE project/site experience is preferred.NEBOSH IGC or equivalent HSE qualification is preferred.Knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, international safety standards, and construction site safety practices.Strong knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation, toolbox talks, PTW, and site inspections.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a site-based and multicultural environment.Strong reporting and documentation skills.
