Role: HubSpot CRM DeveloperShift Timings: 8-hour working day with overlapping hours between the US and India teamsRockED exists because the automotive industry loses too many good people to turnover and inconsistent development. The systems you'd own are how we see that clearly, act on it quickly, and prove it worked. Develop people. Drive performance.HubSpot is where RockED's commercial business actually runs — Dealer Sales, Enterprise Sales, Partner Experience, and Program Management all work out of it every day. This is a builder's role. You'll spend most of your time in HubSpot, but the interesting problems tend to sit just past where the click tools stop — a custom-coded workflow action, a webhook, a sync between HubSpot and our billing system, a custom card on a deal record. Check out our website: https://www.rocked.us/What will you own?HubSpot, end-to-end. Sales, Marketing, Ops, and Data Hub — pipelines, properties, lifecycle stages, permissions, and data hygiene. That's the baseline, not the job.Automation past the click tools. Custom-coded workflow actions and bots (JavaScript or Python), webhooks, programmable automation, data-quality rules, and calculated/rollup properties — the logic native workflows can't express. The data layer. Data syncs, custom objects, datasets, and reporting models that make RockED's numbers trustworthy and self-serve, so the team stops waiting on someone to pull a list for them.Integrations across the stack. Design and maintain the connections between HubSpot and Maxio (billing and subscriptions), Zoom, Otter, Granola, Google Workspace, and our internal Admin Panel — through native connectors where they work, and through APIs and scripts where they fall short. Keep billing, meeting, and CRM data in sync, and handle import and export requests. Our custom HubSpot app. We run custom UI extension cards on our CRM records — TypeScript and React on HubSpot's developer projects platform, talking to a small serverless API on AWS. An outside firm built the first version. You'll work alongside them to start, then take the wheel: reviewing changes, managing environments and deploys, and adding new cards as the team needs them. The surrounding tool stack. Admin, licensing, and troubleshooting across the tools above — including knowing what we're paying for and whether we still need it.Adoption. Train and support our heavy users in Sales, PX, PM, and Marketing — onboarding, office hours, and documentation people actually use — so process changes stick and the data stays clean.Translation. Partner with leadership to turn business questions into reporting and automation, and to say plainly when a process should change instead of having another workflow bolted onto it.Governance. Permissions, least-privilege connector scopes, documented changes, and testing before anything goes live in production.Troubleshooting. Resolve CRM issues, workflow failures, and integration errors in a timely manner.Staying current. Keep up with HubSpot's evolving feature set and recommend improvements that align with CRM industry best practices. What skills do you need?3–5+ years hands-on in HubSpot, with real Operations Hub and Data Hub experience — not just Sales Hub admin work.Working proficiency in code: JavaScript or Python for custom actions and scripts, plus comfort with REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON. You should be able to open code someone else wrote and make a careful change to it.Demonstrated ownership of a multi-tool SaaS stack and the integrations between them; billing systems (Maxio, Chargebee, or similar) are a strong plus.Strong data instincts: modelling, reporting, and the judgment to know when a number is wrong before someone else finds it.Comfort with the mechanics of shipping — version control, separate sandbox and production environments, and testing before release.A clear communicator who can teach non-technical users and write documentation people actually use.Startup mindset — comfortable with ambiguity, fast iteration, and wearing multiple hats.Curiosity and openness to adopt emerging AI technologies in engineering workflows and incorporate AI capabilities into internal tools.Experience operating in product-based, high-paced startup environments.Nice to haveTypeScript and React, and experience with HubSpot UI extensions, the HubSpot CLI, and developer projects.AWS serverless experience (Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch) — or the appetite to learn it, since that's where our API lives.Experience being the first internal owner of something an agency built, and improving it rather than rewriting it.Automotive, dealership, or SaaS partner-ecosystem background.
