We believe in providing straightforward, high quality, good value consultancy and support.We aim to use our knowledge and expertise to develop a safer and more sustainable future because we recognise the importance of having a positive impact on the future of our planet and society.Job DescriptionAs part of our growing business, we are seeking an established Human Factors Principal Consultant with experience of delivering Human Factors integration and associated analyses for high-hazard and safety critical national infrastructure, e.g. civil or naval nuclear, defence or rail.This role represents an excellent opportunity for a proactive, commercially aware, and collaborative individual to play a pivotal part in the continued growth of our business. As a senior member of the team, you will not only lead major HF programmes but also help define and grow our capability, mentor developing talent, and strengthen our relationships across multiple sectors. Your contribution will be instrumental in shaping the future of a company with an outstanding reputation for high‑quality delivery and client trust.Duties to include Lead delivery of Human Factors Integration activities to support multi-disciplinary projects, working in collaboration with other technical disciplinesLead production of Human Factors analyses and studies, liaising with Subject Matter Experts and safety professionalsLead delivery of Human Factors projects whilst mentoring junior members of the teamContributing to business development activities through client engagement, opportunity identification, bid and proposal developmentLiaising with Regulators as necessaryPlanning and managing work to meet technical, budget and programme requirements to ensure client satisfactionCollaboration with clients and partner organisationsRequirementsEssential Requirements Relevant academic qualification in an appropriate field, i.e. Human Factors, Ergonomics, Psychology or a suitable Science or Engineering degreeDemonstrable experience in a Human Factors leadership roleExperience in applying Human Factors principles, standards and methods, and their role and application within high-hazard and safety critical national infrastructure programmesExperience in delivering human error and reliability assessmentStrong customer focus with an ability to develop creative commercial strategies for the successful contracting of new work. Ability to build trusted relationships and provide credible technical leadership to clients and project teamsAbility and willingness to lead and develop othersDesirable RequirementsChartered, Registered or working towards accreditation with a relevant bodyConsultancy experienceSC and / or DV security clearanceThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Human Factors Principal Consultant to take the next step in their career.
