Since 1954, Woodgrain is proud to be family owned and operated.Job Summary:The Human Resources Manager will provide leadership and oversight to day-to-day HR activities to support operational success. This position is responsible for managing key employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, employee relations, performance management, HR administration, and compliance, while serving as a primary HR resource for employees and leaders. The HR Manager will ensure new employees are effectively onboarded and prepared for a successful employment experience at Woodgrain, while providing ongoing support throughout the employee lifecycle. This position will also play a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture and employee engagement through the planning and execution of HR programs, communications, recognition, and engagement initiatives. Duties & Responsibilities:Manage day-to-day HR operations and serve as a primary HR resource for employees and managersOversee employee lifecycle processes, including recruitment support, onboarding, employee changes, offboarding, and HR documentationPartner with leaders and employees to address employee relations, performance, attendance, conduct, and workplace concernsProvide guidance to managers on HR policies, procedures, employee development, and effective people-management practicesEnsure consistent application and communication of company policies, programs, and HR practicesOversee accurate and timely maintenance of employee records, HR systems, and required documentationCoordinate performance management processes, including performance reviews, coaching, corrective action, and employee developmentMonitor and support compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policiesLead employee engagement, recognition, culture, and workplace initiatives that support a positive employee experiencePlan and execute onboarding, employee communications, engagement activities, and HR programsPartner with the Corporate HR Manager on complex employee relations matters, organizational initiatives, and HR strategyProvide HR reporting, workforce information, and analysis to support business and HR decisionsIdentify opportunities to improve HR processes, employee services, and operational effectivenessMaintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive employee information
Requirements
Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field requiredProfessional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or equivalent preferredAt least 5 years of progressive human resources experience with demonstrated experience in a generalist or HR management roleStrong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, performance management, recruitment, onboarding, and HR administrationWorking knowledge of applicable employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirementsProficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS platformsAdditional Skills:Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organizationStrong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skillsAbility to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion and professionalismStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlinesDemonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and escalate complex matters appropriatelyAbility to analyze HR information, prepare reports, and use data to support business decisionsDemonstrated ability to lead employee engagement, culture, and HR initiatives from planning through executionPhysical Demands:The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical office environment.
