The starting date of the new employee is preliminary start of November 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Manages the processes of the formation, use and development of staff;- In accordance with the School's development strategy, leads the work on the formation of staff and determination of measures for its implementation;- Forms the foundations of corporate culture, manages its development;- Participates in the activities of the School in terms of providing its workforce with the necessary professions, specialties and qualifications;- Studies the labour market trends;- Conducts forecasting and planning of the School's staff needs;-Together with the Heads of departments, divisions and services, participates in decision-making on recruitment, transfer, promotion, demotion, imposition of administrative penalties, as well as dismissal of employees;- Organizes the work on the search and selection of staff;- Conducts interviews with the most promising candidates for vacant positions;- Works on the formation and preparation of a staff pool for promotion to senior positions, organizes an annual performance review of the School's staff and managers;- Ensures preparation and provision of analytical materials to the School's management on social and staff issues, makes forecasts of staff development, timely identifies emerging problems and prepares possible solutions to them;- Studies the movement of staff, identifies the causes of staff turnover, develops measures to eliminate them together with the Heads of departments;- Works to create favorable social and mental environment in the team, participates in the resolution of labour disputes and conflicts;- Organizes work on social and professional adaptation of new staff;-Takes measures to increase the staff motivation, to improve working conditions, to increase their performance, makes proposals to rationalize the system of remuneration and material incentives;- Arranges staff training, coordinates the work on professional development of employees and the development of their business career;- Works on the rationalization of the organizational structure and staff of the School, the development of Regulations and job descriptions of staff;- Monitors the state of labor discipline of School staff;- Monitors compliance with the norms of labour legislation in working with staff, strengthens the relationship between staff and the School, makes staff decisions on current problems and issues;- Advises the management, as well as the Heads of the School on all staff related issues;- Advises School staff on issues of labour law and social protection standards;- Organizes the necessary personnel records management at the School in accordance with the requirements of laws and state standards.

Requirements

A person with a higher professional education in HRM and 3+ year work experience in staff management at international companies with advanced English language. International HR certificates are preferable.The HR Director should know the following:— Labour legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;— legislation and regulations on the issues of work performed;— modern concepts of staff management;— high proficiency in English (fluent oral and writing speech);— the structure of the School, its mission and strategy, staffing, staff needs;— the latest trends and technologies in staff recruitment and adaptation;— forms of remuneration, principles of development of staff motivation systems; technologies for building a compensation system in the organization;— methods for staff performance review;— forms and methods of staff training CPD;— methods of staff planning and rotation, formation and development of the staff pool;— features of document management in the organization and the basics of personnel records management;— the procedure for the development of local regulations;— ethics of business communication;— rules and regulations of labour protection, safety and fire safety, industrial hygiene and sanitation.The HR Director should have the following skills:— building productive relationships and negotiations;— personal efficiency and time planning;— leadership and strategic thinking;— teamwork and team management;Conditions:Free breakfasts and lunches during the School term.Voluntary medical insurance after the probation period.Paid annual leave of 28 calendar days.Additional paid Christmas leave (1 week before the New Year)School gym and Swimming poolHaileybury Almaty is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and those connected to the school to share this commitment.
