About usOrbis Global creates and produces large-format events for the industries defining the next decade — expos and summits across financial markets, technology and AI, and industry trade shows; live entertainment from Broadway and theatre to concerts, tours and festivals; and sports, from tournaments and championships to sports business forums.We handle each event end to end, from first concept through to the day itself. Different rooms, different audiences, one standard.The roleWe're building the team that delivers all of this, and we need someone to own how that team gets built and how it runs. This is a founding hire — you'll set up the people function from scratch rather than inherit one, and you'll carry the office and admin load alongside it.Expect a genuinely broad remit, direct access to leadership, and the pace of an early-stage company.What you'll doTalent acquisition • Own end-to-end hiring across events, sales and production — sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offers • Build a candidate pipeline in the Dubai events and expo market • Manage agency relationships and job board spendPeople operations • Draft and manage employment contracts, offer letters and onboarding • Handle visa processing, medicals, Emirates ID and labour card coordination with our PRO • Maintain employee records, leave and attendance • Run onboarding so new joiners are productive in week oneAdmin and office • Manage the office day to day — suppliers, facilities, procurement • Support the leadership team with scheduling, travel and documentation • Coordinate with finance on payroll inputs and expense processingCulture • Help set the standards and rhythms of a new team as it growsWhat we're looking for• 4+ years across HR, recruitment or office management, ideally in the UAE • Working knowledge of UAE labour law, visa processes and MOHRE requirements • Hands-on recruitment experience — you've filled roles yourself, not just briefed agencies • Comfortable with ambiguity and a broad brief; this role changes shape as we grow • Strong written English; Arabic or Hindi an advantage • Discretion — you'll handle contracts, salaries and sensitive conversationsEvents industry experience is welcome but not required.
