The HR Manager will be responsible for recruitment, employee relations, performance management, HR policies, staff development, compliance, payroll coordination, and overall employee engagement.The successful candidate will work closely with management and department heads to ensure the organisation has the right people, effective HR processes, a positive workplace culture, and strong employee performance.Key Responsibilities1. Recruitment & Talent AcquisitionManage the complete recruitment and selection process from vacancy identification to onboarding.Understand manpower requirements and coordinate with department heads to prepare job descriptions.Source candidates through job portals, social media, recruitment agencies, referrals, and other channels.Screen CVs, conduct interviews, coordinate assessments, and recommend suitable candidates.Maintain an updated candidate database and recruitment pipeline.Ensure timely filling of vacancies according to organisational requirements.Develop effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain quality talent.2. Employee Onboarding & InductionCoordinate joining formalities, documentation, background checks, and employment contracts.Conduct or coordinate employee induction and orientation programs.Ensure new employees understand company policies, procedures, roles, and expectations.Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.3. Employee RelationsAct as a point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and workplace issues.Handle employee complaints and disciplinary matters fairly and professionally.Maintain positive relationships between employees and management.Support management in resolving workplace conflicts and improving employee satisfaction.Promote a respectful, professional, and inclusive workplace culture.4. Performance ManagementDevelop and manage performance appraisal processes.Coordinate probation reviews, performance evaluations, promotions, and confirmations.Monitor employee performance and identify areas requiring improvement.Work with managers to establish KPIs, performance goals, and development plans.Support performance improvement and corrective action processes where required.5. HR Policies & ProceduresDevelop, implement, and regularly review HR policies, procedures, and guidelines.Ensure HR practices are consistently applied across departments.Communicate HR policies clearly to employees and management.Maintain proper HR documentation and records.6. Attendance, Leave & Payroll CoordinationMonitor employee attendance, punctuality, leave, and working hours.Coordinate with the Accounts/Payroll team to ensure accurate and timely salary processing.Verify attendance, overtime, deductions, incentives, and other payroll-related information.Maintain accurate leave and attendance records.7. Learning & DevelopmentIdentify employee training and development needs.Organise training, workshops, orientation, and professional development programs.Evaluate training effectiveness and maintain training records.Support career development and succession planning initiatives.8. Employee Engagement & RetentionDevelop initiatives to improve employee engagement, motivation, and retention.Conduct employee feedback and engagement activities.Identify factors contributing to employee turnover and recommend improvements.Promote employee recognition and reward initiatives.9. HR Compliance & DocumentationEnsure HR practices comply with applicable employment laws, regulations, and organisational policies.Maintain employee files, contracts, attendance records, performance records, and other HR documentation.Prepare HR reports and documentation for management when required.Maintain confidentiality of employee and organisational information.10.
