Apply & track with Apply EdgeSummary: The Human Resources Manager at Simplex is a high-impact position with multiple touch points daily. Develop and administers human resources programs and policies including staffing, compensation, benefits, employee relations, training, and health and safety. Ensures human resources strategies align with organizational business goals. Supervises human resource processes to ensure efficient operations for the organization. We have approximately 250 members across multiple locations in five states with our headquarters in Springfield, IL. This position requires a bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience. This is a hands-on position working closely with all members in each location, and across all levels within the company.Responsible daily for: recruitment, hiring, on-boarding, training, policy enforcement, payroll, safety administration and compliance across all applicable regulatory agencies and legislation, benefits, and discipline.
Requirements
Minimum 4 years of education and/or experience equivalent to a 4-year degreeMinimum 4 years of experience in an HR Manager roleThorough knowledge of manufacturing operations and safety procedures are preferred Ability to develop team members and promote teamworkComputer skills including familiarity with Office, Excel, and Payroll SystemsAbility to work and communicate across various departments and positions within the organization Must be able to communicate (read, write, and speak) the English language clearlyAbility to solve problems and work effectively under deadlinesDemonstrated organizational ability and ability to work effectively under deadlines Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal formatsExperience in documentation and compliance reportingFamiliar with Employment Law and ComplianceDedication to exemplary ethical and confidentiality standards at all timesCommitment to professional and fair interaction with personnel across all areas of the companyAbility to sit and work from a desk for extended periods of timeAbility to quickly receive information then prioritize, and adapt to daily decision making Must be able to communicate (read, write and speak) the English language clearly Duties:Integral part of the Safety Committee coordinating meetings across the organization to ensure understanding and consistent practice of all Safety Policies Benefits: Administration and delivery of information; especially during new hire, and open enrollment periods: Changes, new employee enrollment, reimbursements, tracking, general questions and open enrollmentLeads the Recruiting efforts across all positions and locations in coordination with the HR Generalist and Executive Team.Policy and compliance administration including: FMLA, WC, OSHA, FLSA, Employee Handbook, etc. Talent management including evaluations, and structured feedback led by the supervisor. Coaching during this process is particularly important for new leadership development.Employee development including coaching and training.Leads the disciplinary and documentation process throughout the organization including attendance behavior and performance.Input information into proprietary software accurately and efficientlyMaintaining a workflow that ensures timely adherence to all deadlinesThis is not intended to be a comprehensive list of job duties.
