HR Manager – Branded Hotel, Brighton

Location: Brighton Salary:Competitive, dependent on experienceWe are seeking an experienced and personable HR Manager to lead the people function at a branded hotel in Brighton.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on HR professional to take ownership of the full employee lifecycle at a single, vibrant property, working closely with the General Manager and Heads of Department to build a strong, engaged team culture.You'll be a visible, trusted presence on-site, balancing day-to-day operational HR with longer-term initiatives that support the hotel's performance and guest experience.ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary HR point of contact for the General Manager and all Heads of DepartmentManage the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboardingProvide expert guidance on employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, and absence managementEnsure compliance with UK employment law, brand standards, and internal HR policiesLead recruitment activity to attract and retain talent in a competitive Brighton hospitality marketCoach and support line managers on people management best practiceDrive employee engagement, recognition, and wellbeing initiatives across the hotelOversee HR administration, payroll liaison, and HRIS data accuracyManage training and development plans, including brand and compliance trainingSupport workforce planning and headcount budgetingChampion diversity, equity, and inclusion across the hotelRequirementsProven HR management experience within a hotel or branded hospitality environmentStrong working knowledge of UK employment law and best practiceCIPD Level 5 or above (or equivalent experience)Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable building relationships at all levelsConfident handling complex employee relations cases independentlyHighly organised, with strong prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environmentA proactive, hands-on approach with a genuine passion for hospitality and peopleFamiliarity with branded hotel standards and systems is an advantage
