Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Manager to lead and manage the organization's human resources function. The HR Manager will be responsible for HR strategy and operations, team management, recruitment, employee engagement, learning and development, payroll, performance management, employee relations, and HR systems.The ideal candidate should have strong leadership and people-management skills, practical experience across the full HR function, and good knowledge of HR practices within the hospitality, healthcare, and/or manufacturing sectors.Key Responsibilities1. HR Strategy & OperationsDevelop and implement HR policies, processes, and initiatives aligned with organizational objectives.Manage day-to-day HR operations and ensure effective implementation of HR policies and procedures.Act as an HR partner to management and provide guidance on people-related matters.Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies.Continuously review and improve HR processes and practices.2. HR Team ManagementLead, manage, and develop the HR team to ensure effective delivery of HR services.Allocate responsibilities, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback and coaching.Establish clear HR processes and improve team efficiency.Support the professional growth and development of HR team members.3. Recruitment & Talent AcquisitionManage the complete recruitment cycle, including manpower planning, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offer management, and onboarding.Work closely with department heads to understand recruitment requirements and workforce needs.Manage relationships with recruitment agencies, job portals, and other talent sources.Ensure a smooth and professional candidate experience.Develop and improve onboarding processes for new employees.4. Employee Engagement & RetentionDevelop and implement employee engagement initiatives to improve employee experience and retention.Organize employee engagement activities, feedback sessions, and surveys.Identify employee concerns and work with management to address workplace issues.Promote a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.Support employee recognition and reward initiatives.5. Learning & DevelopmentIdentify training and development needs in consultation with managers and employees.Develop and implement annual learning and development plans.Coordinate internal and external training programs.Monitor training effectiveness and maintain training records.Support career development, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.6. Payroll & BenefitsOversee the monthly payroll process and ensure accurate and timely salary processing.Coordinate with finance/payroll teams regarding salaries, deductions, benefits, bonuses, and other employee payments.Ensure payroll processes comply with applicable statutory requirements.Maintain accurate payroll and employee records.Address and resolve employee payroll-related queries.7. Performance ManagementManage and continuously improve the organization's performance management process.Support managers in setting objectives, conducting performance reviews, and providing constructive feedback.Identify high-performing employees and development requirements.Support performance improvement plans where required.8. Employee RelationsHandle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace concerns professionally and confidentially.Advise managers and employees on HR policies and procedures.Support effective communication between management and employees.Assist in resolving workplace conflicts and maintaining a positive work environment.9. HR SystemsManage and maintain employee records and HR processesEnsure accurate and timely updating of employee information, attendance, leave, payroll inputs, and other HR data.Generate and maintain HR reports and analytics using the system.Support employees and managers in effectively using Tulip HR software.Coordinate with relevant teams to resolve system-related HR and payroll issues.Industry Knowledge & ExperienceGood understanding of HR practices and workforce requirements within the hospitality, healthcare, and/or manufacturing sectors.Experience managing diverse workforces, shift-based employees, operational teams, and professional staff will be an advantage.Understanding of sector-specific recruitment, employee engagement, training, performance management, and retention requirements.Experience with manufacturing environments, including workforce planning, attendance and shift management, employee relations, and workforce engagement, will be an advantage.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.8–10+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, preferably with experience managing an HR team.Proven experience in recruitment, employee engagement, learning & development, payroll, performance management, employee relations, and HR operations.Knowledge or experience in the hospitality, healthcare, and/or manufacturing sectors.Experience working closely with senior management and leading HR initiatives.Good knowledge of applicable employment laws, HR policies, and statutory requirements.
