This role oversees the configuration and continuous operation of cooling systems, including CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and control systems to ensure optimal temperatures and humidity is maintained to meet customer’s SLAs.Lead the design, installation, and commissioning of HVAC systems for new and existing data centers.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure HVAC systems meet operational and energy efficiency standards.Oversee the configuration of cooling systems (CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, etc.) to ensure data center temperature and humidity control.Ensure continuous operation and reliability of HVAC systems by implementing preventative maintenance schedules and procedures.Oversee and maintain the performance of data center cooling systems, including air conditioning units, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and control systems.Conduct regular assessments of cooling infrastructure to ensure equipment integrity and identify potential issues or areas for improvement.Work closely with facility management and engineering teams to develop and implement cooling strategies that optimize energy efficiency and minimize downtime.Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC-related issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring maximum system availability.Respond to cooling related alarms, troubleshoot system issues, and perform corrective actions to maintain optimal environmental conditionsRespond to and resolve critical incidents related to HVAC, ensuring proper documentation of root cause analysis (RCA).Experience & QualificationsExpertise in cooling systems (e.g., chillers, air handlers, CRAC/CRAH units). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues.Knowledge of energy efficiency strategies and metrics (PUE, WUE).Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools.Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.This position is critical for maintaining the environmental conditions necessary for the optimal performance of IT infrastructure within data centers.Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of operational reliability.Leadership and ability to mentor and lead a team in HVAC engineering best practices.Desirable to have an industry-related professional qualification e.g. CDCDP, ATD.Health and Safety qualification e.g. IOSH preferred
