قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدجAbout the RoleWe are looking for a specialized Hydraulic Design Engineer to spearhead the hydraulic system design, schematic development, and component sizing for our heavy-duty marine and offshore machinery portfolio, specializing in marine/offshore winches and cranes. In this role, you will be responsible for translating mechanical requirements into reliable, high-performance fluid power systems capable of operating under extreme offshore conditions. You will oversee hydraulic layouts from initial concept through design, calculations, and factory acceptance testing (FAT).Key ResponsibilitiesHydraulic System Design & Engineering:Design complex open-loop and closed-loop hydraulic systems for offshore cranes, anchor handling winches, mooring winches, traction winches, and subsea lifting equipment.Select and size hydraulic components including pumps, motors, proportional valves, manifolds, cylinders, accumulators, and filtration units.Ensure compliance with major maritime and offshore rules, regulations, and standards (e.g., DNV, ABS, API, ISO, CETOP).Schematics & Calculations:Create detailed Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and hydraulic schematics using CAD/CAE tools (e.g., Automation Studio, AutoCAD).Perform essential hydraulic calculations including pressure drop, flow rate, heat dissipation, line sizing, and response time analysis.Design custom hydraulic manifolds, integrating cartridge valves and ensuring optimal fluid dynamics.Integration & Control Interfaces:Collaborate with electrical and automation teams to integrate electro-hydraulic control systems (PLC interfaces, proportional control loops, and feedback sensors).Design fail-safe braking systems, emergency lowering systems, and load-holding circuit protections.Testing & Technical Support:Draft testing procedures for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of hydraulic power units (HPUs) and winches/cranes.Provide technical troubleshooting support during prototype assembly, commissioning, and load-testing phases.Work closely with procurement to evaluate vendor specifications and select cost-effective, high-reliability equipment.Key Requirements & QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Fluid Power Engineering, or a related discipline.Experience:Minimum of 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience in hydraulic system design, specifically within the marine, offshore, or heavy industrial machinery sector (winches and cranes preferred).Demonstrated experience designing high-pressure hydraulic circuits (up to 350+ bar) and custom manifold blocks.Technical Skills:Proficiency in hydraulic schematic design software (e.g., Automation Studio, FluidDraw, EPLAN Fluid).Deep understanding of marine environmental challenges (corrosion resistance, subsea integration, fluid cleanliness standards, and low-temperature operations).Familiarity with major hydraulic component brands (Rexroth, Parker, Danfoss, Eaton, Sun Hydraulics).Soft Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly with fluid dynamics and system troubleshooting.Effective cross-functional communication skills to bridge mechanical, electrical, and production teams.
