EPC Consulting partners closely with both clients and candidates to ensure successful, long-term placements.Role Description The Hydraulic Engineer / Consultant will work full time in Brisbane CBD, supporting built environment projects with specialized hydraulic expertise. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and reviewing hydraulic systems, preparing calculations and technical documentation, and client liaison. The Hydraulic Engineer / Consultant will collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, liaise with clients and stakeholders, and provide technical advice during planning, design, and construction phases. The position also includes contributing to project proposals, supporting quality assurance processes, and staying current with relevant standards and industry best practices.QualificationsStrong knowledge of Hydraulic Systems and practical experience in hydraulic design for built form projects.Solid foundation in Mechanical Engineering principles as they relate to pumps, pipelines, and fluid mechanics OR trade experience from the tools to the office.Proficiency with relevant design and modelling software (e.g., hydraulic modelling tools, CAD, and BIM platforms).Ability to interpret and apply Australian standards, local regulations, and industry guidelines for water and hydraulic infrastructure.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills, with attention to detail and quality documentation.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and interact professionally with clients and stakeholders.Previous experience in consulting or infrastructure projects in the Australian market is highly regarded.
