HydrauliX also provides specialized services such as cylinder repair, inspection services, custom hydraulic hoses, lathe work, dielectric testing, and nonconductive lines. Team members work in a hands-on environment focused on safety, quality, and reliable service for customers across the region.Role Description The Hydraulic Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Area. This role involves diagnosing hydraulic issues, performing maintenance and repairs on boom trucks, aerial equipment, and other heavy equipment, and ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting hydraulic components, replacing hoses and cylinders, testing system performance, documenting work performed, and collaborating with team members to meet service deadlines. The technician will follow company safety procedures, maintain a clean and organized workspace, interact professionally with customers and internal stakeholders, and support continuous improvement in repair processes.Qualifications Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Hydraulic Systems and Mobile Hydraulics.Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues in heavy equipment and hydraulic components.Experience with Maintenance & Repair of boom trucks, aerial lifts, and related heavy equipment.Familiarity with safe shop practices, tools, and equipment, including hose fabrication and cylinder work.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, hydraulic schematics, and work orders.Solid mechanical aptitude and comfort working in a physically active, industrial environment.Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in hydraulics or diesel/mechanical fields is preferred.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to meet company safety and compliance standards.
