Role Description This is a full-time, on-site IB PYP and IB MYP Music Teacher role based in Opatija. Expected start date: ImmediateDue to the immediate start requirement, preference may be given to candidates who already have the legal right to work in the EU and are available to start at short notice.Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and assessment tasks, teaching classes across appropriate grade levels, guiding students in performance and composition, and providing constructive feedback on their progress. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to integrate music into interdisciplinary units, contribute to school events such as concerts and performances, and participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives. The role also involves maintaining a safe, inclusive classroom environment and engaging regularly with families and the broader school community.Qualification Ability to design differentiated lesson plans, assessments, and projects that support varied learning styles and promote creativity and critical thinking.Excellent classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills, with the capacity to work effectively within an international, multicultural school community.Masters’s degree or higher in Music Education, Music, or a closely related field; recognized teaching qualification or certification is strongly preferred.Fluency in English for instruction and communication; additional language skills are an asset.Comfort with educational technology and digital tools for music creation, recording, and learning management.Commitment to inclusivity, student well-being, and the IB learner profile, and willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.
