The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging while providing patients with a supportive, comfortable experience during what can be a sensitive and stressful process.This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and adherence to all state and federal regulatory standards governing diagnostic imaging.We welcome applicants from a mammography or CT background. CT technologists experienced in performing contrast-enhanced studies are encouraged to apply, whether or not they have mammography experience. We support technologists in expanding their scope of practice.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform screening and diagnostic mammography exams and/or CT exams in accordance with physician orders and established protocolsPosition patients accurately to produce high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing patient discomfortOperate and maintain mammography and/or CT equipment, ensuring proper calibration and quality control in accordance with MQSA and applicable CT regulatory requirementsFor CT technologists: administer IV contrast media per physician order and established safety protocols, including venipuncture and monitoring for contrast reactionsExplain procedures to patients, answer questions, and provide reassurance throughout the examReview images for technical quality and reposition or repeat as necessary to meet diagnostic standardsMaintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic health recordFollow radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles to protect patients and staffParticipate in routine quality assurance/quality control testing and equipment inspectionsCollaborate with radiologists, physicians, and clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate reportingMaintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulationsAssist with scheduling, patient flow, and other administrative duties as neededStay current on continuing education requirements and advances in mammography and/or CT technologyRequired QualificationsCandidates must meet one of the following qualification paths:Path 1 — ARRT(R) with MQSA Mammography QualificationCurrent ARRT certification in Radiography (R)Active state license as a Radiologic TechnologistCurrent CPR/BLS certificationDocumented MQSA mammography qualification, including:Completion of 8 hours of Category A mammography-specific continuing education25 supervised mammography exams performed under a qualified technologistMust maintain ongoing MQSA requirements once qualified, including minimum exam and continuing education requirementsPath 2 — ARRT(M) CertifiedCurrent ARRT certification in Mammography (M)Active state license as a Radiologic TechnologistCurrent CPR/BLS certificationPath 3 — CT TechnologistCurrent ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT)Active state license as a Radiologic TechnologistCurrent CPR/BLS certificationExperience performing CT exams with contrast administrationPreferred Qualifications1+ years of clinical experience performing mammography and/or CT, including contrast-enhanced studiesExperience with digital mammography and/or 3D tomosynthesisExperience with CT contrast injection systems and protocolsBilingual English/Spanish skills are a plusExperience working in an OB-GYN or similar health settingSkills & AttributesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approachStrong attention to detail and commitment to image qualityAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environmentComfortable discussing sensitive health topics with empathy and professionalismStrong organizational and time-management skillsTeam-oriented with the ability to also work independentlyPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods and assist with patient positioningAbility to lift and assist patients as neededManual dexterity for operating imaging equipmentCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary commensurate with experienceHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysContinuing education support/reimbursementRetirement plan options
