Powering the infrastructure that powers everything else.ResponsibilitiesManage inbound and outbound processes and deliveries, including customs processes and documentation, as well as support during customs investigationsCreate delivery documentation, book transports, and check that incoming documents are valid and correctHandle tickets and internal customer requests on all logistics topicsMonitor logistics processes and KPIs across transportation, inbound, and outboundSolve logistics and transportation issues quickly and pragmaticallyRepresent Skeleton as Dangerous Goods Officer (road & sea) for all dangerous goods (DG) shipmentsIdentify opportunities to optimize our transportation structure and costs, and put them into practiceBring import transport bookings in-house, including direct carrier contracts and rate negotiationsConsolidate freight forwarders across all Skeleton locations to increase economies of scaleSet up a reliable system for import tax (ATC) documentationTake on other tasks as assigned and agreed with managementRequirementsCompleted vocational training as a freight forwarding agent (Speditionskaufmann/-frau), a degree in logistics or international trade, or a comparable qualificationSeveral years of experience in import/export handling, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing environmentSolid knowledge of customs procedures, export controls, and Incoterms; experience with customs software such as ATLAS is a plusA qualification as Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA / Gefahrgutbeauftragter) for road & sea is an advantage.
