Together, we tackle challenges by co-creating solutions that make an impact.Are you ready to join us and make a difference?At the moment, we are looking for an experienced forwarder for our import deparment.Job SummaryCoordination and execution of customer orders in accordance with their requirements and/or proceduresHandling import files from A to ZTasks And ResponsibilitiesOrder processing managementCustomer order plausibility analysisPlanning / Booking / Transportation ordersCoordination/follow up of the shipmentCustoms processing (import)Documentation/administration/filing/invoicingFeedback to the customer (internal and external reporting of the shipments to the customer) by various means (mail, phone, electronic data interchange)Operational troubleshootingNon-conformance reporting in accordance with the KPI’s.Cooperation with approved subcontractors in accordance with agreed ratesEnd to end processingPunctual and flawless order handling and documentationJob RequirementsRequired Skills+3 years of detailed experience of logistics and forwarding operations/regulations and documentationPreferable a professional degree by a licensed educational institution specialized in logistics and forwarding.Computer literacy with Microsoft Software applications and /or other market leading software applications.Firm knowledge of at least 2 foreign “business”-languagesGood knowledge of English is mandatoryInitiative and strong sense for organization in order to meet customer requirements.Polyvalent forwarding experience (export/import) is an advantageExtended (export/import) customs procedure knowledge is necessary.ContactsOperational contacts with customer, ocean/air carriers, stevedoring -/ trucking companies and other subcontractorsOperations Manager & Director of OperationsAccounting/invoicing departmentCustoms departmentSend us your application via email to: HR.Belgium@bdpint.comBDP InternationalItaliëlei 22000 Antwerp, Belgiumwww.bdpinternational.com
