Import Export Manager

Our client is a leading and well-known distributor of health food products based in Central London who are recruiting an Import/Export Manager to join their team and take responsibility for all aspects of the company's import and export operations.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced import/export professional with strong knowledge of ocean freight, container shipments and international trade to manage the end-to-end import and export process and ensure the smooth running of international shipments.This is a hybrid role with 1 day working from home. Benefits include an 8% employer pension contribution and private healthcare with BUPA.Duties will include:Managing import and export container shipments, including cross-tradeCoordinating shipments with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines and other logistics partnersManaging the full ocean freight process from booking through to deliveryWorking with and applying IncotermsUnderstanding and managing import duties, tariffs and customs requirementsResearching and identifying relevant duty, tariff and import informationEnsuring all import/export and customs documentation is accurate and completed on timeMonitoring shipments and resolving any issues or delaysProcessing import/export transactions using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business CentralUsing Excel confidently for shipment tracking, reporting and analysisAbout You:Proven experience managing ocean freight and container shipmentsStrong knowledge of Import, Export and Cross-TradeGood understanding of IncotermsKnowledge of import duties, tariffs and customs procedures is desirableStrong Excel skillsKnowledge of Business Central ERP would be an advantageIf you are an experienced import/export professional with a strong background in ocean freight, imports and exports, and are looking for your next opportunity within an established and growing business, we would love to hear from you.Fame Recruitment is an equal opportunities employer.
