Import Export Specialist

Purpose and Objective of Position Daily processing of import entries and export transactions in-bond via our in-house self-filing software. Ensure all relevant PGA data is validated for a timely release and movement of cargo. Support and collaborate with Logistics team members to assure duty free store merchandise moves efficiently. Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesProcess Customs Entries, i.e. classify invoice as required, file entry, and respond to inspection requestsFull understanding of trade remedy tariffs and their applicationAbility to maintain consistent performance under pressureEnsure compliance with US Customs and other government agency regulations (FDA,F&W, TTB etc…) related to the importation of bonded merchandise for duty-free and/or duty paid purposes.Review documents for accuracy as prescribed by the standard operating proceduresMonitor Customs entry process, and check Customs release for discrepanciesTransmit payment of Customs duties via ACH and submit required copiesIn-Bond processing of exports and warehouse transfersEnsure that permit file folders contain all necessary document copies in proper sequenceException handling by consulting with managerCo-ordinate delivery of cargo to DFS warehouse with carriersHandle TTB transfers into DFS bonded warehouseAssist in processing reports for inventory validation and permit file maintenance Ideal Candidate High School Diploma or equivalent3+ years of customs entry writingUnderstanding of US Customs Regulations and bonded warehouse entry processHave worked on well-known import/export commercial systemsProficient in Microsoft OfficeFluent in English Other Qualifications Approachable; good listening skills; open to ideas and suggestionsCollaborative; works well with teamsAble to work effectively under multiple deadlines. Benefits Day One Health Benefits401k Plan ContributionsPaid Time OffPaid HolidaysBonus EligibleParking ReimbursementEmployee Discounts The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 - $30.00.
