Company: Olympia Industries Ltd. 📍 Location: Mumbai 💼 Experience: Minimum 5 years 👤 Reporting To: VP 💰 Budget: Up to ₹12 LPA 🎓 Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field 🌐 Industry: AnyAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Import Manager to manage end-to-end import operations, international logistics, customs clearance, supplier coordination, compliance, and import cost optimization.Key Responsibilities1.

Import Operations ManagementManage the complete import process, including documentation, shipping schedules and customs clearance.Coordinate with international suppliers for timely and accurate shipments.Manage logistics from point of origin to final destination.Optimize freight costs and transit times.Ensure correct classification of goods and compliance with applicable trade agreements and duty regulations.2. Customs & ComplianceEnsure compliance with customs laws, trade policies and regulations.Handle customs clearance, HS code classification, duties, tariffs and import permits.Track changes in import/export regulations, duties and sanctions.3. Vendor & Supplier ManagementManage relationships with international suppliers, freight forwarders and customs brokers.Negotiate shipping terms, costs and lead times.Monitor vendor performance and implement corrective actions.4. Documentation & ReportingPrepare and review import documentation including Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists and Certificates of Origin.Ensure timely and accurate documentation.Prepare reports covering shipment status, import costs and performance metrics.5. Inventory & Cost ControlCoordinate with inventory and procurement teams to maintain adequate stock levels and reduce lead times.Monitor duties, taxes and freight costs.Develop strategies to minimize import costs while maintaining timely delivery.6. Problem Solving & Risk ManagementResolve issues related to shipment delays, damages and discrepancies.Identify supply-chain risks and develop contingency plans.Handle disputes with customs authorities and vendors when required.
