Reporting to the Director of Legal Affairs, you will act as the legal point of reference for our projects โ leading construction and commercial contracting, advising on construction insurance and claims, managing risk across the project lifecycle, and coordinating external counsel across the region.๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐ฝ๐ผ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฏ๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ฒ๐-Draft, review, and negotiate construction and development contracts, including FIDIC-based main contracts, subcontracts, consultancy and design appointments, and EPC arrangements-Provide regular legal advice on construction insurance programmes โ Contractors' All Risks (CAR/EAR), third-party liability, professional indemnity, and related covers โ reviewing policy wordings, endorsements, and supporting the claims process-Manage contractual claims and their legal consequences: variation orders, extension of time, delay and disruption, liquidated damages, and back-charges-Draft, review, and negotiate wider commercial agreements (procurement, services, leases, NDAs, and partnership agreements)-Provide practical legal advice on commercial, corporate, and contractual matters-Advise management on labor and employment law, ensuring compliance with Saudi labor regulations-Support corporate governance, company structuring, and regulatory/compliance requirements-Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks across projects and operations-Liaise with and manage external legal counsel where specialized advice, arbitration, or litigation support is required-Maintain organized records of contracts, legal correspondence, and corporate documentation-Stay current on legislation and regulatory developments affecting the business๐ค๐๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐-Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.); a relevant master's degree or professional qualification is an advantage-Minimum 5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably as an in-house / company lawyer-Of which at least 3 years gained directly on real estate development, construction, or infrastructure projects โ with a developer, contractor, consultancy, or a construction-focused legal practice๐ฅ๐ฒ๐พ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฆ๐ธ๐ถ๐น๐น๐-Hands-on experience with construction contracts, including FIDIC standard forms, and the contractual issues arising during project delivery-Working knowledge of construction insurance policies, with the ability to advise on coverage, exclusions, and claims on a day-to-day basis-Strong expertise in commercial law, with solid working knowledge of corporate, contract, and labor law relevant to the group's business-Sound understanding of the Middle East legal and regulatory environment, ideally including Saudi Arabia-Excellent command of English, both written and verbal (Arabic fluency is a strong advantage)-Proven ability to coordinate and manage outsourced legal service providers and external counsel across multiple jurisdictions-Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills-High level of integrity, sound commercial judgment, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฆ๐ธ๐ถ๐น๐น๐-FIDIC certification or formal FIDIC contract management training-Experience with construction disputes and arbitration (SCCA, ICC) and dispute adjudication boards-Experience in high-impact development, construction, and investment projects๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ธ๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒA key role within a growing legal function, working directly with senior leadership.
