The role involves overseeing daily pharmacy operations, including dispensing medications accurately, ensuring proper storage, handling, and inventory management, and maintaining regulatory and safety standards. Team members will provide medication counseling to patients, verify prescriptions, and liaise with medical and nursing staff to support safe and effective treatment. The Incharge Pharmacist will coordinate staff schedules, monitor workflow efficiency, and ensure adherence to hospital policies, while Duty and Assistant Pharmacists will focus on prescription processing, documentation, and customer service. All positions will contribute to maintaining accurate records, participating in audits, and supporting continuous quality improvement in pharmacy services.Qualifications Relevant professional pharmacy qualification (e.g., B.Pharm, Diploma in Pharmacy, or equivalent) and eligibility for registration with the appropriate regulatory body.Solid knowledge of pharmacology, medication dispensing practices, prescription verification, and drug interaction awareness.Experience with pharmacy operations, including stock control, ordering, temperature monitoring, and safe storage of medications.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in prescription processing, documentation, and record maintenance.Effective communication and customer service skills for interacting with patients, clinicians, and other healthcare team members.Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment, manage multiple tasks, and follow clinical and safety protocols consistently.Familiarity with pharmacy information systems or hospital IT systems and basic computer literacy.Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by hospital operations.Previous experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting is an advantage.
