Apply & track with Apply EdgePosition SummaryThis role reports directly to the VP Strategic Sourcing and is responsible for indirect spend. This is a hands-on role that will work closely with key business stakeholders to deliver cross business unit procurement projects, programs, and activities, this role also has primary responsibility for the company’s purchasing of all indirect categories including MRO, Temp. Labor, Fleet, Travel and Services for operations across Pregis's businessesResponsibilitiesManage procurement process for all indirect categories to reduce the total cost of goods & services while increasing overall valuePartner with Business Units to design, develop and implement an indirect category strategyProactively develop and drive sourcing initiatives, including all key steps in full life cycle sourcingExecute supplier management strategies by monitoring KPIs, Terms and Conditions, and Supplier ContractsDevelop and manage supplier relationships to optimize business valueCreate scorecards and other reports for business units and senior leadershipInteract with supply base and internal "customers" to identify and implement cost reduction opportunitiesProvide procurement support to all functional areas, ensuring procurement representation and participation in all issues related to meeting business requirementsProactively analyze market trends and report substantial issues / resolution plan(s) to management if applicableDevelop necessary strategies and projects plans, driving to completion (i.e. commodity & supplier strategies, projects....as applicable)Manage and enhance supplier performance through standardized processes and continuous improvement efforts impacting quality, cost, delivery and serviceDevelop sourcing strategies to capture cost reduction while maximizing quality, speed and scalability for all Indirect purchasesConsolidate spend across the company to capture buying power with key suppliers who are motivated by our growth and thrive for innovationAnalyze spend to develop cost reduction roadmaps and strategiesEarn trust with key partner teams to collaborate on requirements gathering, while leading RFP creation, response review, and supplier selection processesNegotiate contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality while working with cross-functional stakeholdersCollaborate across the business to identify and pursue new supplier opportunities.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or Logistics5+ years of procurement/sourcing experience, 2+ years of indirect procurement a plusExperience with SAP or a comparable ERP strongly preferredPrevious experience managing a vehicle fleet a plusExcellent negotiation skills, verbal and written communicationAbility to work proactively – use data to identify opportunitiesAbility to communicate with all organizational levelsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to dive into details and develop solutionsCompensationThe listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Pregis’ total compensation package. The base pay range for this role is estimated to be between $120,000 and $144,000, depending on experience and skills.Compensation details listed in US job postings reflect base salary only and do not include benefits.
