With a strong focus on academic excellence, personal development and international-mindedness, our diverse community provides a supportive and dynamic environment for students and staff.The RoleWe are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Part-Time MYP Individuals & Societies Teacher to join our Secondary team.The successful candidate will primarily teach Individuals & Societies within the IB Middle Years Programme, supporting the delivery of a broad, engaging and inquiry-driven curriculum.We are particularly interested in an adaptable teacher who is comfortable teaching across the I&S curriculum and can develop students’ critical thinking, research, communication and analytical skills through relevant real-world and global contexts.Experience within an IB MYP environment is highly desirable. Candidates with a specialism in Business, Economics, Humanities, Geography, History or another related I&S discipline are encouraged to apply.Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will:Plan and deliver high-quality MYP Individuals & Societies lessons.Use inquiry-based and concept-driven approaches aligned with the IB MYP.Maintain high expectations for student achievement, engagement and behaviour.Use assessment and feedback effectively to support student progress.Contribute to collaborative planning and curriculum development within the I&S department.Develop students’ critical thinking, research and communication skills.Contribute positively to the wider Secondary team as appropriate to the part-time nature of the role.The Successful CandidateWe are looking for someone who:Holds a recognised teaching qualification and relevant degree.Has experience teaching Individuals & Societies, Humanities or a related subject at secondary level.Demonstrates strong classroom practice and high expectations for learners.Is confident delivering engaging, student-centred learning.Is collaborative, flexible and able to work effectively as part of a team.Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Is committed to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.Previous MYP experience is highly desirable, although strong teachers with experience in comparable international or inquiry-based curricula are also encouraged to apply.Experience in Business or Economics would be an additional advantage but is not essential.
