Applicants can expect a mission-driven environment that values cross-cultural collaboration and professional growth.Role Description The Indonesian Language Interpreter is a full-time, on-site role based in Nagoya. The interpreter will provide high-quality interpretation between Indonesian and Japanese (and occasionally English) in meetings, interviews, training sessions, and company events. Daily tasks include supporting communication between international students and SMEs, assisting with career counseling and job-matching discussions, and translating essential documents such as contracts, guidelines, and application materials. The interpreter will also help facilitate multilingual job consultations, support orientations for newly hired international staff, and collaborate with the Global Aichi team to ensure clear, culturally sensitive communication. This role involves close coordination with employers, job-hunters, and internal staff to enable smooth cooperation and successful placements.Qualifications Strong language skills in Indonesian and Japanese, with the ability to interpret accurately in both directions; English proficiency is an advantage.Experience in consecutive or simultaneous interpretation in business, education, or community settings, preferably involving international talent or SMEs.Ability to translate written documents (e.g., contracts, policies, guidance materials) clearly and efficiently while maintaining meaning and tone.Cross-cultural communication skills and sensitivity to the needs of international students and Japanese companies.Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening, professionalism, and the ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders.Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple appointments, events, and consultations on-site in Nagoya.Comfort working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment and supporting events such as networking sessions, language classes, and job-hunting workshops.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in languages, international relations, education, or a related field is preferred.Prior experience working or studying in Japan or in a multicultural environment is a plus.
