In this role, you will imagine and design outstanding primary and secondary packaging solutions that reflect the brand's identity, enhance user experience, and push the boundaries of design and functionality. You will collaborate closely with marketing, R&D, packaging engineering, and suppliers to bring innovative beauty products to life.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Product Design & User ExperienceDesign innovative, user-centric packaging concepts for makeup, skincare, and fragrance categories, along with accessoriesDevelop mood boards, sketches, 2D renderings, and 3D models to communicate design intentTranslate brand values and product briefs into unique and feasible packaging solutionsPresent concepts and prototypes to internal stakeholders and external partners. Technical & Industrial FeasibilityCreate detailed technical drawings and dimensioned packaging component plans (bottles, caps, mechanisms, etc.) in coordination with the packaging engineering teamConduct functional analysis to ensure product usability, assembly feasibility and ergonomic performanceBuild and maintain technical datasheets and Bills of Materials (BOM) for each developmentPerform Design FMEA to anticipate potential failure modes and ensure robustness of packaging solutionsValidate dimensional chain analysis and tolerance stacks in collaboration with suppliers and packaging engineersParticipate in technical reviews (Design for Manufacturing, Design for Assembly) to ensure industrial feasibility and production readinessWork closely with packaging engineers and suppliers to validate materials, finishes, and technical constraintsCross-Functional Collaboration & PrototypingManage the 3D laboratory to print internal mockups for quick decision-making with top managementPartner with cross-functional teams to ensure design intent is maintained through development and industrializationInnovation, Research & TrendsStay up to date with trends in beauty, fashion, materials, and sustainabilityContribute to packaging innovation by exploring new mechanisms, gestures, and sensorial experiencesRequirementsBachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or equivalent3+ years of experience in industrial design, preferably in the cosmetics, luxury, or FMCG sectorProficiency in functional dimensioning standards (ISO) and technical drawing interpretationHands-on experience creating manufacturing-ready technical drawings for packaging componentsStrong understanding of fit and function relationships, tolerance analysis, and mechanical interface constraintsStrong design portfolio showcasing creative and technical packaging workProficient in 3D design software (SolidWorks, Keyshot) and Adobe Creative SuiteKnowledge of manufacturing processes (injection molding, metal, glass, decoration techniques, etc.)Solid understanding of sustainability in packaging and material selectionStrong presentation and communication skillsDetail-oriented, curious, and passionate about beauty and consumer experiencePreferred Skills:Experience working with international suppliers and manufacturing partnersBasic understanding of regulatory constraints in cosmetics packagingKnowledge of rendering software (KeyShot, Blender, etc.) is a plusFluent in English; French or other languages are a plusBenefitsMonthly "Self Love Days" - at company discretionPremium Medical/Dental/Vision coverage for employee plus dependentsMonthly coaching sessions with our in-house Success CoachEmployee discounts on all Huda BeautyQuarterly product giftingHuda Beauty is committed to building diverse and inclusive teams and upholding an equal employment workplace that is free from discrimination.
