Industrial Designer

Bradford Jacobs is assisting an AI drone solutions company, offering cutting-edge aerial solutions across a range of sectors, including construction, agriculture, real estate, environmental monitoring, and infrastructure inspection. Their mission is to harness drone technology to deliver high-quality data, insights, and visual content to enable clients to make informed decisions.We are hiring Industrial Designers who are passionate about creating beautiful, functional, and manufacturable products. You will lead the visual and experiential design of our hardware products from concept sketching through to production, working closely with mechanical engineering and marketing.Key responsibilities • Lead ideation and concept development through sketching, mood boards, and digital renders• Create detailed 3D surface models using Rhino, Alias, or Fusion 360• Develop CMF (Colour, Material, Finish) specifications and oversee physical sample approvals• Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure design intent is preserved through engineering• Create user-centred design concepts informed by research, ergonomics, and usability principles• Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and iterate based on feedback• Manage design deliverables through EVT, DVT, and PVT stages with the CM• Contribute to brand consistency guidelines and packaging designRequired qualifications• Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related discipline• 3+ years of experience designing physical consumer products• Strong portfolio demonstrating shipped hardware products from concept to production• Proficiency in 3D modelling tools: Rhino, Alias, SolidWorks, or Fusion 360• Experience with rendering software (KeyShot, V-Ray, or similar)• Strong sketching skills and ability to communicate ideas visually• Understanding of manufacturing processes: injection moulding, die-casting, extrusionNice to have• Experience with consumer electronics or wearable product design• Knowledge of DFM practices and working with Asian CM partners• UI/UX skills for physical + digital interaction design• Experience with CMF development and working with material suppliers• Familiarity with sustainability-led design principlesFully office based role Sai Gon Ward, Ho Chi Minh CitySalary - VND 25,000,000 – 45,000,000/month (13 month pay)
