Industrial Hygiene Specialist III

POSITION SUMMARYIdentify and mitigate occupational health risks to ensure a safe work environment, focusing on chemical, biological, and psychosocial exposures. Support the development of preventive strategies aligned with company health standards and regulatory requirements.NATURE & SCOPE:Oversee the assessment and control of workplace hazards affecting employee health, including epidemic risks, while contributing to hygiene standards and toxic waste management systems. Collaborate with internal teams to implement effective health protection measures across operations.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES :Evaluate chemical, biological, and psychosocial risks in the workplace and monitor them continuously.Conduct studies on potential epidemic outbreaks within the company and develop plans and procedures to mitigate their spread.Participate in the development of emergency preparedness and response policies (hazardous materials, biological threats, epidemics).Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and provide recommendations based on clear standards.Review operational procedures to identify processes that may negatively impact health.Develop regulations for the disposal of toxic waste and ensure safe disposal systems are in place.Perform regular and surprise inspections to monitor workplace conditions and identify health risks.Investigate incidents, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions.Prepare monthly reports and statistical data on incidents and safety performance.Stay updated on latest HSE standards and best practices.Manage documentation related to incident notifications, inspections, and work permits.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:ESSENTIAL EDUCATION and/or QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREDBachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety.DESIRED EDUCATION and/or QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREDMaster’s degree in health sciences.MINIMUM YEARS EXPERIENCE IN SIMILAR JOB ROLE Minimum of 10 years in occupational health and safety. 6.
