The role requires strong technical knowledge of steel materials, including plates, offcuts, coils, tubes, hollow sections, angles, beams, and structural steel, while ensuring inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse & Inventory ManagementManage the receipt, storage, issuance, and movement of industrial steel materials.Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock accuracy through regular cycle counts and physical stock verification.Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to avoid stock shortages.Ensure proper storage, identification, and handling of steel materials.Material ManagementHandle inventory including:Steel PlatesOffcutsSteel CoilsTubes & PipesHollow Sections (SHS/RHS/CHS)AnglesChannelsBeamsStructural SteelVerify material specifications, dimensions, grades, and quantities before receipt and dispatch.Coordinate with production and procurement teams to ensure timely material availability.Warehouse OperationsSupervise warehouse personnel and daily store activities.Plan material receiving, loading, unloading, and dispatch operations.Ensure efficient space utilization and material traceability.Implement FIFO/FEFO inventory practices where applicable.Documentation & ReportingMaintain accurate ERP records for inventory transactions.Prepare inventory, stock movement, and reconciliation reports.Investigate stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions.Monitor KPIs related to inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with company HSE policies and warehouse safety procedures.Maintain proper housekeeping and safe storage practices.Ensure compliance with quality standards and internal audit requirements.RequirementsBachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.Strong knowledge of steel products, including plates, coils, pipes, tubes, hollow sections, angles, channels, beams, and structural steel.Experience working in steel manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, metal processing, or industrial trading companies.Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or Microsoft Dynamics.Strong inventory management and warehouse operations experience.Good leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
