Apply & track with Apply EdgeThis person is the hands-on owner of the devices, applications,and access that our employees depend on every day — from building and enrolling a newlaptop, to resolving a Teams or printer issue, to making sure a new hire is fully productive onday one.This is a highly visible role. You will work directly with employees across the business, so strongtroubleshooting instincts matter as much as a calm, service-oriented approach. Because thework involves physical hardware, workstation builds, and on-site user support, this position isprimarily on-site with limited hybrid flexibility.Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues on Windows desktops and laptops, including hardware,operating system, performance, and connectivity problems.
- Provide day-to-day support for Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel,PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint) and Microsoft Teams.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with network and local printers, scanners, docking stations,monitors, headsets, and other peripherals.
- Own tickets end to end: triage, diagnose, resolve, document, and escalate when needed,keeping users informed throughout.
- Enroll, configure, and manage corporate devices in Microsoft Intune, including complianceand configuration policies.
- Install, update, and patch operating systems and business applications; track patchcompliance and remediate gaps.
- Build and deploy standard workstations and user hardware to a consistent, documentedbaseline.
- Maintain hardware inventory, asset records, and the spare/loaner device pool.
- Support systems onboarding for new hires: provision accounts, assign licenses and groupmemberships, prepare and hand over hardware, and run first-day orientation on IT tools.
- Support offboarding: revoke access, recover and wipe hardware, reclaim licenses, andcomplete required handover and audit steps.
- Coordinate with HR and hiring managers to meet start and exit dates reliably.
- Perform routine identity administration in Active Directory and/or Entra ID: user and groupmanagement, password resets, group membership changes, and access requests.
- Apply access changes in line with established approval workflows and least-privilegepractice.
- Write and maintain clear documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-base articles forcommon issues and standard builds.
- Identify recurring problems and propose fixes, automation, or self-service improvements.
- Support audit, compliance, and data-protection requirements, including tasks touchingMicrosoft Purview.Required / Core Skills
- 2–5 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or an infrastructure/end-usercomputing operations role.
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills across Windows desktops and laptops, includinghardware replacement and OS-level diagnostics.
- Practical support experience with Microsoft 365 applications and Microsoft Teams.
- Experience supporting printers and standard peripherals in a business environment.
- Hands-on experience enrolling and managing devices in Microsoft Intune.
- Experience with software installation, packaging or deployment, and patch management.
- Experience setting up workstations and standard user hardware to a defined buildstandard.
- Demonstrated experience supporting user onboarding and offboarding.
- Familiarity with Active Directory and/or Entra ID concepts: users, groups, password resets,and group membership.
- Familiarity with Entra ID, Intune, and Microsoft Purview.
- Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical colleagues.
- Ability to work on-site, prioritize competing requests, and handle time-sensitive issuescalmly.Preferred / Nice to Have
- Microsoft certifications such as MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator), MS-900, or AZ-900.
- Scripting for routine automation (PowerShell).
- Experience with a ticketing/ITSM platform (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management,Freshservice, or similar).
- Exposure to endpoint security tooling such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and toBitLocker or disk-encryption management.
- Basic networking knowledge: Zero Trust Exchange (Zscaler), DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fitroubleshooting, and Linux.
