Job Description
Job SummaryExperienced Fortra/Titus Data Classification SME to assist in design and implementation of enterprise data classification and information protection solutions. The candidate will have deep expertise in Fortra (formerly Titus or Boldon James) Classification Suite bringing strong knowledge in Data Classification Frameworks, Information Protection, Data Governance, DLP, Metadata Management, Information governance, and regulatory compliance frameworks.8-12 years of experience in Information security with 2+ Years hand-on experience in Fortra/Titus/Boldon James Data classification products. Although preference is for Fortra, relevant experience with Purview or other data classification solutions will also be consideredKey Skills and Competencies: The role will involve defining classification strategies, integrating data protection controls and ensuring sensitive information is appropriately classified, labelled, and protected across the organization.The role will be responsible for assessment of data security aspects including data classification, access control models and data protection.Key Competencies include Enterprise Security Architecture, Risk Assessment, Regulatory compliance Solution design and documentation, Strategic Planning and consulting, Data Security Assessment, Governance, Risk & Compliance and Relationship ManagementGood Understanding of IAM and GRC including industry standards such as ISO 27001, SOC, GDPR, and NIST/DoD frameworks.Communicate security requirements and design decisions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.Good to have: Experience of working in highly regulated defence environments. Experience in ITAR(International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and NATO defence compliance regulation.
Responsibilities
- Design enterprise-wide data classification and information protection architecture using Fortra/Titus solutions.
- Define classification taxonomy, metadata schemas, labeling standards, and governance models.
- Architect integrations of Fortra/Titus with IAM, Microsoft 365, DLP, SIEM
- Develop data protection roadmaps aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
- Create solution design documents, architecture diagrams, and implementation standards.
- Configure classification labels, user prompts, policies, and automated labeling mechanisms.
- Define governance processes for label lifecycle management.
- Conduct periodic reviews of classification effectiveness and compliance adherence.
- Implement data-centric security controls.
- Align data classification with Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Rights Management, Encryption, Information Protection
- Identify gaps in information handling practices and recommend remediation plans.
- Provide guidance and training on classification policies and procedures.Preferred CertificationsGood to have certifications like CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, ISO27001(Implementation) and Fortra Certifications
